Sensor City IoTUK Boost company, GeDaP (General Data Protected Ltd), has been accepted on to the Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Digital Marketplace procurement framework (G-Cloud 9).

With cyber attacks increasing and EU General Data Protection Regulation on the horizon, GeDaP’s appointment to the framework opens up public sector opportunities to secure digital data and printed document services across the Internet and Internet of Things (IoT).

GeDaP’s KeyTalk technology mitigates against the threats from phishing, spear phishing and man-in-the-middle which constitute the prime attack threat.

Using proven and patented algorithms, KeyTalk has already been deployed by the Council of the European Union to secure its financial systems.

Ian Young, CEO, GeDaP, said: “KeyTalk is based on device component characteristics, making it highly suited to an IoT environment.

“Within an enterprise IoT and Big Data environment, a system is only as secure as its weakest link. KeyTalk and Printix can be supplied off-the-shelf to organisations across the UK public sector, including central government, local government, health, education, devolved administration, emergency services, defence, and not-for-profit organisations.”

Joanne Phoenix, business development manager, Sensor City said: “GeDaP is just one of our developing ecosystem of IoTUK Boost businesses that are amplifying the UK’s IoT industry and contributing to economic growth.

“The company’s acceptance on to the G-cloud 9 framework is a fantastic endorsement which we hope will support IoT innovation and adoption across the public sector, and help to build the GeDaP business.”
