We are pleased to announce that our first tenants, K-Safe, just keep winning awards and are progressing at lightening speed!

The company has been featured on Granada News with us and are widely recognised as “one to watch” by the likes of NatWest technology and KPMG. They have also been awarded Entrepreneurial Spark’s ‘Go Do’ award for the second time.

CEO Kirk Ryan  recently highlighted the benefits which drew him to Sensor City to a packed audience at ‘The future of Manchester’s digital tech scene’ lunchtime event, held by BusinessCloud and the Business Growth Hub.

Speaking to Business Cloud editor Chris Maguire, Kirk said :

“Sensor City offers us a unique environment. We are linked directly to the universities and benefit from the contacts and expertise of the Sensor City team.We are able to go from idea to prototype quickly as there is dedicated manufacturing equipment for Sensor City businesses, plus a strong sense of community and networking between tenants.

We can have an idea on a white board in the morning and get to a fully functional prototype by the end of the day, a process which currently takes weeks.”

Joanne Phoenix, Business Development for Sensor City says “It’s fantastic to see the speed in which Kirk operates and how quickly the company is progressing. K-Safe is s prime example of the calibre of company that we are looking to recruit into the building – they are actively looking to recruit from the local student base and will really be able to benefit from the equipment base that we will have available to companies.

With interest in our new building growing, and spaces being allocated fast, we would urge all interested companies and entrepreneurs to get in touch and register their interest in joining our expanding ecosystem”
