While 2020 hasn’t turned out to be the year we all expected, there have still been some great moments for Sensor City and our customers.

We’ve grown our engineering team and worked with some fantastic student interns, run several Smart Cities and tech focused events, as well as undertaking ground-breaking projects within our labs, resulting in customers having launched new products, receiving investment and winning awards for innovation and sustainability.

Our team has also worked collaboratively to produce thousands of PPE parts for the NHS and was involved in the gamification of research for the development of drugs to work against COVID-19.

We joined forced with colleagues within Knowledge Quarter Liverpool to undertake a significant fundraising challenge, raising money for local health charities, and worked with organisations including Unilever and The Girls Network to inspire the next generation of engineers and business leaders.

As we look ahead to 2021, we are excited for the development opportunities and growth potential that strengthened partnerships and investment will bring to Liverpool City Region.

With ongoing business support, inward investment and funding available, we are confident that both Sensor City and our customers will go from strength to strength in 2021 and beyond.

Thank you for your continued support and we wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a very happy, and health New Year.
