Our innovation hub is back open from Wednesday 1st July, as both resident customers and staff return to play an impactful role, once again, in making the future happen.

What this future looks like may be different to pre-COVID-19 predictions, but one thing that remains certain will be the delivery of expert technical support and innovative rapid prototyping services that we will continue to provide for businesses across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.

Our future is also looking bigger and better, as we re-open with several new customers joining our dynamic community.

Talens, a design consultancy that specialises in the design of machinery and production equipment, has relocated to Sensor City to increase their production capacity and prototyping activity. They are also using the move to diversify into the medical devices sector, having already created a strong foothold in designing for life science applications.

Datahone have also taken the opportunity to build back better, by expanding their R&D team’s presence at Sensor City from a hot desk, to a full office suite.

We are very much looking forward to seeing all members of our growing community return to site and will share further news of their innovative business activities and operational resilience in the coming weeks.

We are also re-opening under the new leadership of Colin Sinclair (CEO of KQ Liverpool and Sciontec Liverpool) and we will become more consolidated with the larger, thriving innovation district in Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter.

As Liverpool launches its economic recovery plan, we will be working alongside key stakeholders to support our knowledge, digital and visitor economies, and to accelerate our region’s recovery from coronavirus.

We would also like to reassure everyone that Sensor City continues to hold the health and well-being of our customers, visitors and staff as a top priority and our team have been busy implementing the necessary health and safety measures within our building, which are required for us to re-open.
